CHUSI MALBEC – Handwoven Rug made of 100% Argentine Wool
CHUSI MALBEC brings the depth of Argentina’s wine country into your home. Its rich, intense red hue is inspired by Malbec wine from Mendoza – bold, elegant, and full of character. The traditional Chusi weaving technique gives the rug its signature voluminous texture. The surface feels soft, organic, and gently irregular – a visible mark of true craftsmanship.
Made from 100% Argentine wool, CHUSI MALBEC retains warmth, feels pleasantly soft underfoot, and contributes to a comfortable natural indoor climate. The depth of its color and tactile structure give every space a strong, warm presence – ideal for modern interiors with a focus on materiality and texture.
Each rug is crafted in Santiago del Estero by a women’s cooperative that empowers women in vulnerable living situations with a stable income and economic independence. CHUSI MALBEC is more than a rug — it is a fusion of design, tradition, and social impact.
A rug like a glass of Malbec: intense, warm, unforgettable.
With each purchase, you help sustain livelihoods in one of the most structurally disadvantaged rural regions of northern Argentina and contribute to preserving Argentina’s traditional weaving heritage.
